Councilman Richard Donnell announces passing of son, local radio host ‘Richard Dee’

JACKSON, Tenn. — The West Tennessee community has lost a beloved local radio personality.

Monday evening, City of Jackson Councilman Richard Donnell announced the passing of his son, Richard Donnell, Jr.

Known to many by his radio name “Richard Dee,” he was a former longtime radio personality at WFKX-FM (96 KIX) and currently hosted his radio show on WLCD-FM at Lane College.

Councilman Donnell stated he was a good son who will be missed terribly.
