JACKSON, Tenn.– The Jackson Recreation and Parks Department holds its final input meeting Tuesday evening.

The meeting took place at North Parkway Middle School’s cafeteria where the public was encouraged to participate in this exciting and important planning project.

The input received from the community will support the preparation of a Parks and Recreation Master Plan that will guide the revitalization and enhancement of the public park system amenities and recreation opportunities for many years to come.

One aspect being addressed is making park facilities and equipment accessible for everyone.

“It is not lost on us that our facilities lack ADA accessibility. So we have put a plan in action..we have capital funds that will be dedicated to ADA accessibility over the next five years and we’ve already stated on some of those projects,” said Christi David, Park Ops Manager for Jackson Rec and Parks.

If you weren’t able to make it to this final input meeting you can go to the city’s website at jacksontn.gov and look for the ‘Rec and Parks’ tab to fill out an input form there.
