JACKSON, Tenn.–One family visited a local hospital to make sure the kids are feeling the love this Valentine’s Day.

Treasure Thaxton and her family visit the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital every Valentine’s Day to give out Treasure’s Love Bears.
Thanks to donations and the community’s support, they have been able to give out the bears for the past 19 years.

20-year-old Treasure Thaxton was born premature and her family says they were once on the receiving end of the community’s generosity.

“You know it’s an aching part of a parent when you can’t touch your child, when you can’t hold your child. So she was in the incubator. So people brought bears to us and we could hold that and it could be, you know, we could feel the love from her,” said Gregory Thaxton, Treasure Thaxton’s father.

The family was able to give out 27 bears in all.
