Smoke still visible after fire at West Tennessee Regional Recycling Hub
CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — Smoke and a few flames were still visible Thursday morning at the West Tennessee Regional Recycling Hub just outside Henderson.
Officials said plastic caught fire at the facility around 3 p.m. Wednesday, sending a huge plume of black smoke into the sky.
On Thursday, residents were allowed to drop off their recycling, but the destroyed area was closed off.
The recycling director says there should be an official update Friday afternoon on the cause of the fire.
