Son of Johnny and June Carter Cash headlines JMC Library fundraiser
JACKSON, Tenn.-It was a special night for patrons of the Jackson-Madison County Library as they welcomed a member of country music royalty to the Hub City.
John Carter Cash, son of Johnny and June Carter Cash served as speaker and entertainer for the Jackson-Madison County Library Foundation’s sixth annual fundraiser.
Carter spoke to the crowd about the books he has written about his family, as well as performed songs that he said are meaningful to his life.
“They will have a sense of that depth of character that my parents had, also, a understanding of the biographical journey that was my father’s life, mostly also some history of the Carter family,” said Cash.
John Carter Cash is the only son of the Johnny and June.
Money raised goes to the Jackson-Madison County Library Foundation, which works to help the library establish consistent funding for its services.
