Tennessee Donor services hit a high donor record in 2023
JACKSON, Tenn.– February 14, National Donor Day, shines a spotlight on the importance of being a donor and educating others.
The Tennessee Donor Services shared that in 2023, they saw a large number of people that were registered donors.
More than 500 donors were served and that impacted thousands of lives.
Officials with Tennessee Donor Services say that Jackson was one city that was impacted significantly last year.
“Register at be the gift today dot com. The importance of registration is we have a waitlist that grows everyday of people that are in need of organs and the only way that we can meet that need is by having more registered organs,” explained Byron Elam, External Affairs Coordinator for Tennessee donors.
