Business owners honored at 23rd Annual Jewel Awards
JACKSON, Tenn.—Dedication and fulfillment.
These are a few words that one local event used to describe hard working business owners.
The 23rd annual Jewel Awards was held at the Carl Perkins Civic Center. These awards pay honor to minority business owners in West Tennessee.
These business owners have turned their dreams into success. Awards were given to those who had been in business for 5, 10, and 20 years.
Music was provided by Saxophonist Aisha Dubose along with the Prophetic Sounds Band.
“We want everybody to know that there is a thriving minority business community in West Tennessee. We want you to take part of it. Small businesses are the heart of our community. Shop small,” said Don McCorry, Executive Director of African American Chamber of Commerce.
