Dan SinclairDanny Harrison “Dan” Sinclair, 74, of Martin passed away 10:55 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Martin. Dr. Mike Sams will officiate. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Martin from 5:00 p.m.until 8:00 p.m. Monday and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Sam Sinclair, Jr., John Thomas Sinclair, Benjamin Sinclair, Bill Sinclair, Tommy Boroughs and Jerome Seymour.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Catalyst Missions, c/o First Baptist Church, 123 University Avenue, Martin, Tennessee 38237.

Dan was born July 10, 1949, in Savannah, son of the late Louis Lee and Archie Marie (Harrison) Sinclair. He married Sherree (McMullen) Sinclair May 23, 1987. Dan retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 40 years of service where he was a quality control manager. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin where he currently served as a trustee and was on the personnel committee, had served on various committees in the past and was part of the men’s ministry. Dan was a 50 year member of Martin Masonic Lodge 551, was a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite and a 50 year member of Al Chymia Shrine in Memphis. He was a former licensed auctioneer and had conducted numerous benefit auctions for churches and organizations and was a master gardener.

He is survived by his wife, Sherree Sinclair of Martin; his daughter and son-in-law, Lynsey and Jason Evans of Hendersonville; two grandchildren, Aubrey Evans and Declan Evans both of Hendersonville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam Sinclair, Sr. and wife Donna of Martin and Dr. Ben Sinclair and wife Jackie of Jackson; his mother-in-law, Dorothy McMullen of Union City; his niece and nephews, Melissa Scates and husband Cory of Murfreesboro, Sam Sinclair, Jr. and wife Chris and Benjamin Sinclair and wife Leslie all of Union City, John Thomas Sinclair and wife Amanda of Hayden, Idaho, Jordan Sinclair and wife Brittany of Chattanooga and Joshua Sinclair of Decaturville; 18 great nieces and nephews; and several cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Paul McMullen; and one great nephew, Owen Riley Sinclair.
