INFORMATION FROM THE JACKSON SYMPHONY:

The Jackson Symphony Presents Classic Edge Saturday, March 9 at 7 pm

Renown cellist, Konstantin Heidrich, joins The Jackson Symphony to present “Classic Edge,” an  explosive and challenging concert that’s sure to thrill the audience.

Heidrich, who ranks among the top three cellists in the world and hails from Berlin, Germany, will  perform Dmitri Shostakovich’s “Cello Concerto No. 1,” – widely considered the most difficult cello solo  ever written. Michael Tippett’s dynamic and stimulating “Symphony No. 4” rounds out the program.

The Jackson Symphony is pleased to offer extraordinary masterworks concerts that compare to  performances heard in much larger metropolitan areas. The Symphony’s professional musicians, under  the direction of Maestro Peter Shannon, are committed to enriching and inspiring audiences through  live orchestral music right here in West Tennessee.
