Man charged with stealing items for fraudulent store return
JACKSON, Tenn. — A man is facing a theft charge after police say he took items from the shelves of a local retail store for a woman to try and return for cash.
Casey Sanders was arrested Tuesday after the alleged incident at Kohl’s on Vann Drive.
According to court documents, Sanders pulled into the parking lot with an unidentified woman and the pair entered the store at separate times.
Police say Sanders then took several items and gave them to the woman who tried to fraudulently return them as Sanders waited in the vehicle.
Sanders is free on a $2,000 bond.
