Redemption Road Rescue to hold adoption event Saturday

JACKSON, Tenn. — Saturday is adoption day at Redemption Road Rescue in Jackson.

The equine rescue nonprofit will be open from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

However, adopting a horse is not the only way to be involved.

Wendy Brenzel, a volunteer, recently moved here from Pennsylvania and missed having horses.

She found more than she hoped for at Redemption Road Rescue.

“What I didn’t expect was the group of people,” Brenzel said. “I expected the horses to fill the void, but the people out here are wonderful. So if anyone’s looking for some way to spend some quality volunteer time and you don’t mind getting dirty, come on out and give us a hand. We’re always looking for volunteers.”

Redemption Road is also preparing for a yard sale in April, so if you have any donations, you can bring them by the rescue this Saturday.
