Local family in Henderson helps out kittens in their kitten rescue cabin

CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn.– With kitten season around the corner one local Henderson resident has been keeping these furry friends safe.

The Kitten Cabin began with Holly Guillon’s son finding some kittens who needed some two-legged help.
“Well actually I started about nine years ago my son found a box of kittens and it snowballed from there,” Holly Guillon, owner of The Kitten Cabin Kitten Rescue Inc., says.
Gullion says that she is one of the few that tubes feeds kittens.
“We do things like tube feeding. Most rescues don’t tube feed so, we can do that so get we in a lot of neonatal who need extra special care,” she shares.
After the kittens are mature enough they are able to freely roam about the cabin.

“They come out here once they are able to eat on their own  and use a litter box. Until then, they are in the nursery and then they come out here and we get them fixed. To make sure their healthy and we get them adopted,” Guillon adds.
Before adopting you can meet and hangout with the kittens.
“You come in and you can hang out with the cats. We have a lounge area, you can see which one fits you best and then we just go from there,” said Guillon.
Their adoption process is easy.

“But we do want to make sure that they don’t have any animals that will cause harm. That they’re not gonna get in harm’s way and that they’re gonna have a safe loving home,” said Guillon.
Currently Guillon is paying out of pockets for cat food, beds, vet bills, cleaning supplies, and litter.
She is asking for small donations from those in the community.
