Derek Carr will leave Milan to become Lexington Tigers new head football coach

LEXINGTON, Tenn.—Breaking news! Former Milan Head Football Coach, Derek Carr has been announced as the new Lexington Tigers head football coach.

Yes, you heard that right.

Derek Carr is the new head football coach of Lexington High School.

He coached for the Bulldogs the last two seasons, having an overall record of 18-7.

He graduated from McKenzie High School and played football at Martin from the years of 2008 through 2012.

However, his coaching career extends as far as Temple University, Tennessee Tech, South Side High School and UT Martin.

Carr will be taking over a Lexington program that was 4-7 last year and made the Class 4A playoffs.

This will also be the Tigers newest head coach since previous coach Bryant Hollingsworth, who just resigned after 16 years.

Tigers nation is officially in the Derek Carr era.
