UT-Martin mens basketball wins regular season title
From one champion to another.
As UT martin men’s
basketball team won the ovc regular season
title for the first time in 15 years.This past weekend
they got the win over Tennessee state 96 to 87
but the win didn’t come without any adversity. They
were faced with an 11 point deficit but, I want you to
know that i’m not just talking when I say defense wins
championships.I say this because martin held tsu to
1 of 12 shooting to close out the game. Then that allowed
their offense to settle in with Jordan Sears scoring 34
points, and Jacob Crews scoring 33 points. Next up they will receive
a double bye into the tournament semifinals. They will
start postseason play Friday march 8th at 9:30 against either
number 6 SIUE, number 7 Eastern Illinois or number 3 Morehead
state.
