Man charged with assaulting wife at assisted living home

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man is facing a domestic assault charge after police say he broke his wife’s collar bone.

Eugene McCoy is charged with aggravated domestic assault after the Friday incident at St. Mary’s Manor on the Highway 45 Bypass, according to court papers.

Police say McCoy pushed his wife to the ground and stomped her right side, breaking the woman’s collar bone.

McCoy is free on a $7,500 bond. His next court date for his preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 14.
