Week 9: Top Plays
JACKSON, Tenn — Week nine’s top five plays:
#5: Bruceton’s Grant Davis rolls left, tosses it to Elijah Boyd who would then throw it up to Zane Mebane for a Tiger first down. Bruceton defeats Collinwood, 39-37.
#4: Liberty Tech’s Corey Newble drops back and delivers a dime to wide receiver Ricardo Wilder who makes the nice over the shoulder catch. Liberty Tech blanks South Gibson, 35-0.
#3: USJ’s Jacob Buie drops back and throws it to tight end Ryan Miller who makes a defender miss and walks into the endzone. USJ takes down Fayette Academy 48-0.
#2: Liberty Tech’s Alec Long comes in and sacks Lou Rechis who fumbles and Jeremiah Fitzhugh scoops it to set the Crusaders up in scoring position. South Gibson falls to Liberty Tech, 35-0.
#1: South Side’s Shamar Givens fields a kick off and goes 89 for the return as South Side grabs their first win on the season over Westview, 49-26.
