Virtual reality classroom visits West Tennessee

JACKSON, Tenn. — The zSpace virtual reality classroom tour visited Jackson’s school service center Tuesday.

The mobile classroom gives students a chance to dissect organs with a touch of a screen.

zSpace is traveling to schools and administration offices to demonstrate the latest virtual learning technology.

On Tuesday, organizers invited West Tennesseans out for a hands-on learning experience.

The system allows students to hold fragile or even microscopic objects in a three-dimensional view.

If they make a mistake, they can easily start over.

“It’s really awesome just to see adults and kids alike. Their faces light up whenever they see objects coming at them,” said Josh Choate, assistant for zSpace.

zSpace is already being used in hundreds of schools across the country. Organizers say they hope tours like this can raise that number even more.
