David Henry “Dave” Dilges, age 70, resident of Eads, Tennessee and husband of Sharon Dilges, departed this life Thursday morning, March 14, 2024 at his home.

Dave was born July 6, 1953 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of the late Henry Otto Dilges and Norlanda Lehmann Dilges. He served his country in the United States Air Force for four years and graduated from Liberty University. He was a devoted employee of the United States Postal Service as a transportation specialist for many years before his retirement in the summer of 2023. Dave was married February 17, 1973 to Sharon Masur Dilges and had been a resident of Fayette County for 22 years. He was a member of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod and enjoyed fishing and his beloved dog, Max.

Mr. Dilges is survived by his wife, Sharon Dilges; three daughters, Elizabeth Hardin (John), Amy Smith (Dustin) and Kristina Ruark (Christopher); his sister, Susan Williamson (Jeff); his brother, Daniel Dilges; and four grandchildren, Alena Smith, Jack Hardin, Maddison Ruark and Elsie Ruark.
