On Sunday, March 24th, millions of Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world will gather to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ.
The annual observance of the Lord’s evening meal will feature a talk highlighting the significance of Jesus’ death.
It will be an hour long program at Lane College, starting at 7 p.m.
Before the memorial, a special talk titled “The resurrection—victory over death’ will be delivered at kingdom halls this weekend, in Jackson.
“When you go to a kingdom hall to see a talk like this, you can look forward to hugs, handshakes, everybody is laid back. Its no collection plates ever passed, it’s a free event it’s going to be a bible talk. It’s about 30 minutes long. They always open with song and prayer and they close with song and prayer,” said Josh Tallent, local Spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses.
This event is open to the public, regardless of denomination.
