Tips for staying safe this St. Patrick’s Day

JACKSON, Tenn. — St. Patrick’s Day is around the corner and here are a few tips on how to stay safe during this fun occasion.

As families and friends gather to the nearest pub or watch the closest parade it’s easy to get lost in the sea of people.

A tip for those who may be drinking this weekend is to have a designated driver or a designated safety friend.

This person is staying aware of the situations around them.

Another tip is to have a plan of action while out and about.

“Pick a spot that’s easy to find and perhaps a large building some sort of structure that’s easy to remember and to recognize from far away, and tell your group or family if we get lost or get separated,” said Toby Braun, Managing Partner at American Special Investigative Group.

As a reminder, law enforcement will be out helping to keep you and other drivers safe on the roads this St. Patrick’s Day.
