Voters talk after final presidential debate
JACKSON, Tenn. — A steady stream of voters made their way to the polls Thursday morning. It was the second day of early voting, but the morning after two presidential candidates went head to head on the national stage.
“It’s the silliest thing I’ve ever seen, to tell you the truth. It’s not like it used to be, but nothing is,” voter Elizabeth Leach said.
Early voters spoke candidly about Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
“It’s important, It’s not a good choice, but it’s important,” voter Linda Brumley said.
Many said the final debate didn’t affect their choice.
“It didn’t mine. I didn’t watch it,” Brumley said.
“From the get-go, when I heard the two people that were running for president, I made my mind up then to vote for Hillary Clinton,” voter Laudell Glenn said.
What about the issues?
“Abortion is always a big issue and probably one of the most important,” Brumley said.
“So many young people need a job, but a lot of them don’t want to work,” Leach said.
“Hillary Clinton lies, and she got people killed in Benghazi, and people just want to overlook that. I know that Trump’s not the best guy in the world, but between the two, I’d rather have Trump,” voter Joe Modena said.
There’s still time to decide who you’re voting for.
Early voting is until November 3rd. Election day is November 8th.
