JACKSON, Tenn.—Who’s ready to shop?

The Carl Perkins Civic Center’s parking lot was full this afternoon.
Everything you wanted or needed was available to buy at this expo.
Let’s check it out!
It’s a collaboration of basically anything and everything you can think of.
The 2nd annual Misfit Market brought many people out to support this event.
People were seen inside and outside of this expo buying items
From t-shirts to hemp items, this expo was a guaranteed hit.
The owner of Just Bite Me, LLC. Mini Donuts, Drew Proulx, said that today has been a great day for him.
“So far it’s been a great turn out. The second I opened up at 9 o’clock, I had a good turn out and it’s only getting busier,” Proulx said.
JKSN T-shirts, along with the Sweet Shop, a friendly vegan eatery were also at this event.
One of the purposes of this event is to allow those in the community the opportunity to be seen by residents in their area.
“Come on down, get a dozen donuts, three dozen donuts. You get a party box of 49, so come on down and get your hot fresh mini donuts,” Proulx said.
Willy’s Woodwork was another business present. Willy makes different items from hand using wood.
He stated that it takes about 2 hours to make some of his larger work.
Many tattoo artists were present such as Zero Regrets Tattoo and Piercing.
They had patrons continuously wanting to get in their chair.
One local food truck owner, Sabrina McTizic, stated that she was happy to be part of this day.
“I love doing events like this. It gives us the opportunity to network and get us out, get exposure,” McTizic said.
From the city of Bolivar, McTizic stated that they are ready to go wherever, whenever.
“We love serving our customers. We travel from Bolivar, Tennessee, to Jackson, to Memphis. Wherever you need us, and we are glad to be there,” McTizic said.
She opened in the year 2018 and she has no plans of stopping anytime soon.
“The quesadilla cheeseburger is our new hitter. We serve wings, we serve fries and our loaded deep fried corn,” McTizic said.
You still have time to enjoy this event tomorrow, the market is open Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm.
The Misfit Market plans to take this event to the Jackson Fairgrounds next year.
