East Coast internet attack temporarily affects Union University

JACKSON, Tenn. — An East Coast internet attack crippled many of the country’s busiest websites Friday including Netflix, Amazon, Twitter and Spotify.

It came in two waves, at 6 o’clock and 8 o’clock Friday morning.

With the issue now fixed, officials say it resembled a cyber attack.

The internet collapse even affected Union University. The online system used by students to complete homework is now back up and running.
