Links incorporated promote community involvement with showcase
JACKSON, Tenn — Links Incorporated, a volunteer and service organization, hosted their second ‘Links showcase.’
Last year organizers said the event was held at T.R White sportsplex, but this year changed the location to Lane college to make the event easy and accessible for college students. There were dance performances and musical selections by local groups. Also, several vendors came out to share information about their organizations. Two of their major partners are AARP and the NAACP, both on a local and national level.
First Vice President and Membership Chair, Delois Dailey said “…very excited that everyone is coming out to this showcase it highlights our organization and our involvement in the community.”
Hosting community events are goals promoted by the Links national organization.
Second Vice President and Program Coordinator, Machelle Banks said “we are to do programs that are meaningful and purposeful and that will impact the Jackson community so I’m excited about being able to bring something good here.”
