Voice of the Tennessee Titans visits Jackson, shares team updates

JACKSON, Tenn. — The voice of the Tennessee Titans, Mike Keith, visited the Old Hickory Rotary Club this afternoon to update the club members on how the team is doing.

As of now, the Titans are in their off season which is also a rebuilding year for the team.

However, Keith enjoys taking time out and visiting the Hub City to share great news.

“We’re the Tennessee Titans not the Nashville Titans and we have a lot of people who drive a long way, further than the Jackson area, but we have a lot of people in West Tennessee that come to every home game,” said Keith.

During this visit he spoke about the new Nissan Stadium.

The stadium seats will advance by 40 percent, which will be better than the previous stadium, with a roof that will hopefully seat a very large game in the future.

“We will host major events pretty quickly in that facility when it opens in 2027, and over the course of the first few years of it being open. The Super Bowl will be apart of that, there’s no doubt in my mind,” said Keith.

In January of 2024 the team announced a new head coach, Brian Callahan.

Callahan has added a new staff.

This may worry some fans but Keith says not to worry for the other team.

“You’re just trying to do what you do your very best and that right here is what the titans are setting out to do with its entire new set up. There are often times in the future, I’ll tell you this wouldn’t want to be playing us next December or January, and if we get in the playoffs, heaven help them,” said Keith.

As for some players being free agent and some being traded Keith is excited about returning and new players for the 2024-2025 season.

“If four of the first six picks are quarterbacks what does that bump to us and potentially who would want to trade with us to maybe help us add picks. To me, this is my 27th off season and its easily the most excitement we have ever had. This is just fun,” said Keith.

The current Nissan Stadium will continue to be used until 2026 and the space will eventually be affordable housing and other commercial business.
