David Ray Freeman
David Ray Freeman, age 70, resident of Somerville, Tennessee, departed this life Saturday, March 16, 2024 at his home.
David Ray was born August 27, 1953 in Wimberley, Texas, the son of the late David Leroy Freeman and Viola “Blondie” Freeman. He was a longtime resident of Fayette County and was currently employed at Curtis Hardin Plumbing Company, where he had been working for 25 years. David Ray was a member of the Somerville Moose Lodge and enjoyed watching westerns and WWE wrestling, fishing and being with his family and friends.
Mr. Freeman is survived by his daughter, Jessica Laster (Mike); two sons, Johnathan Brown (Christy) and Steven Long (his grandson who he raised as his son); two sisters, Cynthia Hardin (Curtis) and Caroline McClure; his brother, Roy Freeman (Patricia); and seven grandchildren, Nicole, Catherine, Gracie, Dereck, Isaiah, Danica, Daniel and Katherine.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Freeman and five brothers, Robert Glover, Junior Glover, Chester Glover, Billy Glover and Carl Freeman.
A visitation for Mr. Freeman will be from 12 noon until 2 P.M. Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Terry Logan officiating.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Gary Logan, Danny Logan, Jason Hardin, Daniel Reeves, Isaiah Brown and Daniel Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Long, Brandon Chandler and Billy Joe Hardin.
