Convicted felon arrested after seizure of drugs, stolen firearm

TRIMBLE, Tenn. — A convicted felon was arrested after the seizure of drugs and a stolen firearm.

According to the West Tennessee Drug Task Force – 28th, 29th, 30th Districts, authorities served a search warrant at a home on Chester Harris Road in Trimble on Monday morning.

Agents from the 29th District were assisted by investigators with the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office.

During the search, the task force says agents seized a loaded semi-automatic handgun that had been reported stolen in a burglary, 1/2 ounce of methamphetamine, approximately one pound of marijuana, and $3,035.00 in suspected drug proceeds.

The task force confirms a previously multi-convicted felon was arrested, now facing charges of possession of schedule II and VI controlled substances with intent to sell, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and theft of property.

Authorities have not confirmed the identity of the individual at this time.
