A Bells church collaborates to provide Easter meals for families in need
BELLS, Tenn. — As one holiday approaches, a church in Bells is donating Easter meals to local families.

Knee Temple Church has given Easter meals out to families for the past four years.
“Right now we’re giving away 125 meals to needy families and we pick them up from feed the needy out of Memphis they collaborate with us to help everyone,” said Pastor for Knee Temple, Arthur Brown.
All families needed to do was fill out a slip with instructions on how to receive these boxes.

“We do this every Easter and every Thanksgiving,” said Arthur.
The Brown family has advertised this opportunity weeks in advance.
“Yeah we put a sign out and bills out in stores and as the people see them they respond to them as you can see the crowd waiting,” said Arthur.
Anyone that participated received one meal per vehicle.

“We give an Easter meal the boxes are sealed so we don’t know what’s in them they are sealed in Memphis so we can’t look in them,” said Arthur.

Knee Temple looks forward to doing this for Easter and Thanksgiving.
“I just want to say I look forward to it every year, to coming out and being able to give boxes to help people, to help the children, and we just love being able to give to people,” said Georgia Brown.
Their Easter service starts at 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 31st, and is located on 4878 Cherryville Rd, Bells, TN.
Knee Temple and “Feed the needy” in Memphis worked together to provide these meals to local families.
