Officers in Gibson investigate shooting death

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Officers in the city of Gibson are investigating after a person was found dead from a gunshot wound.

Authorities say family members found the body Monday afternoon at a home, later learning the victim died as the result of a shooting.

Officers say at this time they think no one else was involved.

The person’s body was taken to the coroner’s office for further examination.
