A local church helps one community celebrate Easter

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn.—A local event gets the community ‘egg-cited’ for more.

First Baptist Church Bemis hosted their Easter egg hunt.

This was a free event for the community to enjoy.

Toddlers up to kids in the 5th grade were seen running to collect as many eggs as they could.

Golden eggs were also available for the kids to find. They contained a small monetary gift.

Arts and crafts were also available for the enjoyment of the kids before the hunt began.

Children could also enjoy the bubble machine and play with sidewalk chalk.

“We had a special member make some Easter basket cupcakes that the kids got to enjoy. We did crafts. We did a megaphone. Talking about how to shout Jesus throughout the world. We did a wind sock. And that’s just depicting the wind. We can’t see it but it’s there. Just like we cant see God but he is there in our lives,” said Amanda Chaney, FBC Bemis children and youth director.

First Baptist Church Bemis would also like to invite you to join them in Resurrection Worship tomorrow morning at 10.
