Solar Eclipse: What you need to know

JACKSON, Tenn. — The 2024 Solar Eclipse will arrive on  Monday, April 8. According to timeanddate.com, partial eclipse begins in Jackson at approximately 12:40 p.m., with the maximum eclipse expected at about 1:59 p.m. Click here and search for your city for specific timing.

This will be the first total solar eclipse in the U.S. since 2017. Although West Tennessee isn’t in the path of totality, you can still experience a partial solar eclipse — but be sure to wear certified eclipse viewing glasses!
