View the Solar Eclipse at Shiloh National Military Park

SHILOH, TN – Join Shiloh National Military Park for a special Solar Eclipse Day on Monday, April 8, 2024!

“An eclipse is one phenomenon that is actually more impressive from the ground!” Leroy Chiao, NASA Astronaut Mission Commander, ISS Expedition 10

We will be experiencing a solar eclipse with the partial eclipse beginning at 12:39 pm, and the full eclipse at approximately 1:56 pm. In honor of this event, Shiloh rangers will be hosting a Solar Eclipse Day. Our park’s telescopes (each with the appropriate filters) will be available for all visitors to experience the event.

Come and join us as we learn about solar eclipses, and then get a rare opportunity to see a full one! We will have solar eclipse glasses available for use, and each Junior Ranger will receive a Solar Explorer Junior Ranger badge.

The program starts at our Shiloh Visitors Center at 12:30 pm and will end at approximately 2:00 pm. Participation in this camp is free!
