Boy dies from injuries in Henderson Co. wrong-way crash

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn.–The Tennessee highway patrol said a six-year-old died from his injuries after being involved in a wrong-way crash saturday.

crashAn incident report says the crash happened along interstate 40 near mile marker 108.

Kayla lewis, 24,was driving the wrong way up a ramp with Tristan Dodd, 6, when they struck a semi-truck head on, according to the report.

Lewis was flown to regional one and Dodd died at LeBonheur children’s hospital, the report states.

The driver of the semi was not injured. Troopers say both adults and the child were wearing seatbelts.

The report says criminal charges are pending.
