Man arrested for DUI, multiple drug charges at sobriety checkpoint
HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — A man is arrested for DUI and multiple drug charges.
According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Department, Jeffery Bridges was taken into custody late Friday evening.
The Sheriff’s Department says authorities were working a sobriety checkpoint around 11 p.m. when contact was made with a black GMC truck driven by Bridges.
The Sheriff’s Department says Bridges stated he had been drinking, and a deputy found guns on Bridges and in the vehicle.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, oxycodone pills, a white powder substance believed to be cocaine, and drug paraphernalia were also found.
Authorities confirm Bridges was taken into custody and is facing charges of schedule II (cocaine), schedule II (oxycodone), drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence.
Records available online show that Bridges currently remains in custody at the Hardin County jail.
