Jackson students discover pathways at school’s job fair
JACKSON, Tenn. — This morning, students at Jackson Christian School got the chance to explore job opportunities from the comfort of their gymnasium.
Students in grades 6 through 12 heard from employers and professionals from across West Tennessee.
The middle schoolers did a scavenger hunt to gather information and the high schoolers asked questions based off their career interests.
Around 30 industry partners were present.
“We have a lot of health science partners with us today. We have stem partners, business partners, agriculture, wildlife who are here sharing with our students,” said Jennifer Johnson, College and Career Counselor for Jackson Christian School.
Many vendors also signed up to be work study partners to allow students to internship or shadow them in the future.
