Woman accused of DUI crash with son in vehicle
JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson police arrested a woman on several charges after they say she drove drunk and injured her son.
According to court documents, Elizabeth Ross hit a pole on South Highland Avenue and tried to drive away from the scene.
Her 11-year-old son, who was in the front seat, was hurt.
Officers reported finding an open container of beer and say she failed a field sobriety test.
Ross faces charges including DUI, reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving on a revoked/suspended license.
She is free on $2,500 bond.
