JEA Downtown Offices to Remain Closed Wednesday

JACKSON, Tenn.- The dry out continues from water damage to the downtown office of Jackson Energy Authority. The JEA office on East College Street was still closed Tuesday and will remain closed while workers replace damaged ceiling and floor tiles, and repair other damage. Officials said the damage is more extensive than first thought. A water line on the second floor broke over the weekend and dumped large amounts of water from the second floor. During the closure, customers can visit JEA’s Customer Service location on Pleasant Plains Extended in The Columns. JEA officials have not estimated when they will reopen the downtown office.
