Care Center of Jackson hosts celebratory ribbon cutting

JACKSON, Tenn. — A new housing project is underway to provide new beginnings for women, and women with children, who are working to overcome difficult times in their life.

The Care Center of Jackson held a ribbon cutting today, on April 11, to celebrate the opening of the center’s transitional housing project, ‘The Genesis Homes Project’.

In addition to the home that was opened and toured today, six more homes will be built that can house up to 72 women and women with children.

The project not only offers a secure environment, but also gives women access to structured avenues of support that is offered by The Care Center.

“This gives another stepping stone of that structure if somebody needs it. So, we are going to try to help our entire community,” said Nathan Young, Executive Director for the Care Center In Jackson.

The Care Center’s mission is to provide a safe haven and new beginnings to women and their families who are homeless or who have found themselves in unhealthy situations.
