Men ‘posing as a female’ arrested after undercover operation

HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. — Two men and a juvenile were arrested after authorities say they were posing as a female with the intent to rob citizens.

According to the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office, an undercover operation was conducted on April 14 in response to recent violent crime in the county.
The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation identified male suspects who were allegedly posing as a female on dating sites.
The Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office says with the assistance of the Bolivar and Jackson police departments, a date was arranged with the supposed female subject.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, three males — including one juvenile — arrived at the meeting location dressed in masks and hoodies with weapons displayed.
Authorities say all three were immediately apprehended.
Traverious Parham, of Eads, TN, is charged with aggravated robbery, tampering with evidence, unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon, possession of firearm during commission or attempt to commit dangerous felony, and evading arrest. His bond is set at $200,000.
Kameran Scruggs, of Memphis, TN, is charged with aggravated robbery, tampering with evidence, unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon, possession of firearm during commission or attempt to commit dangerous felony, resisting arrest, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, aggravated assault, attempted robbery, disorderly conduct and theft under $1,000. His bond is set at $200,000.
Additionally, the Sheriff’s Office says one of the weapons in their possession was confirmed as stolen property from a previous robbery.
