State commissioner visits Jackson to discuss Tennessee’s growth

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local organization hosts a state official at their weekly meeting.

The Jackson Rotary Club invited the TNECD State Commissioner, Stuart McWhorter, to speak on the growth and expansion of Tennessee.

During his time he shared the importance of having businesses such as Blue Oval in West Tennessee to bring in positive growth.

He shares that meeting and communicating with local leaders is important.

McWhorter’s goal is to make sure that when local business establish themselves in communities, it is a right fit.

“Growth is coming, Tennessee is just a strong brand and people. Companies, and families want to be here. We just want to make sure its balanced in the way that we are trying to do the right thing for the community,” said McWhorter.

During this meeting, young rotary members were in attendance and McWhorter says he enjoys connecting with them.
