Jackson Fairgrounds hosts First Ladies Luncheon preview

JACKSON, Tenn. — Hundreds are getting ready for a special day of celebrating women, but first, residents are getting a sneak peek of the popular event.

This is the 2nd year holding a preview to the First Ladies Luncheon.

It was a sold out event, perfect for those unable to attend the actual luncheon at the Jackson Fairgrounds tomorrow.

At the preview people were able to walk around a view the tables, where each individual or business is responsible for doing their tablescape.

These tablescapes advertise their business or organization.

As for the actual luncheon tomorrow, they are expecting their largest crowd yet, with people coming from 15 surrounding counties.

“We started out a Lambuth College with 334 people 11 years ago. We’re right at 1200 now, 129 tables, it’s just so exciting to see Jackson turn out for this event,” said Chair for the First Ladies Luncheon, Anita Kay Archer.

Tomorrow’s attendees are also in for a special treat.

There will be 36 local celebrity servers, all men, who will give out the meals tomorrow.

And while the actual luncheon is sold out, it will be held again next year for those hoping participate.
