Jackson Theatre Guild brings ‘Rumors’ to life
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Theatre Guild is taking the stage this weekend with a new production.
A preview party was held tonight, April 17, for the show ‘Rumors’ at the Ned Cultural Arts Center.
The event featured hors d’oeuvres, and adult beverages before the final dress rehearsal.
The performance of Rumors, directed by Billy Worboys, will begin at 7:30 p.m. on April 18, 19, and 20.
Afternoon shows are scheduled for April 20 and 21 at 2 p.m.
Worboys says it’s a wonderful experience for the actors to fulfill a dream of their own, and encourages the community to come out and support the arts.
“This is for the community. We always try to make people laugh. We do musicals in the summers to make people tap their feet and sing. We’re just trying to lift everybody up and in the meantime we have a great time doing it,” said Worboys.
