Community giveaway returns to help those in need
OAKFIELD, Tenn.—A local church event returns to help to those in need.
Today, the Robert Roe Memorial “Your Neighbor” Giveaway was held in Oakfield.
The event took place from 9 this morning until 2 this afternoon in the parking lot of Oakfield Baptist Church at 3527 Old Medina Road.
This giveaway featured a wide range of items available for anyone in need to pick up and at no cost.
Some of the items available included furniture, clothing, toys, housewares, hygiene products, toys and even some appliances.
The church collects the items throughout the year to support the giveaway event.
“Everything is 100% free, don’t charge anything for anything that we have, if you need it, it’s yours,” said Terry Tatum, Deacon for Oakfield Baptist Church.
This is the 5th year the event has been held.
