One event aims to make the Hub City a safer place
JACKSON, Tenn.—One event aims to help keep Hub City residents safe.
The Back the Blue Event took place at Hub City Brewing from 6 – 11 pm this evening.
The event featured delicious food, live music from Darryl Worley and band, and Jackson’s own LOLO emceed for the night.
Proceeds from the fundraising event will go to support the Jackson Police Department’s Public Safety Fund.
This fund goes to support the safety and security of the Jackson community.
“Part of our mission is to have coactive partnerships in the community and when Prosper stepped up and said, “Hey, we’d love to do a fundraiser,” we were all in. Because, it’s amazing when we can make connections and those connections build bridges and build relationships and that’s what we’re all about,” said Chief Thom Corley, Jackson Police Department.
The fundraising goal for the event was $100,000.
