Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Dale True will officiate. Burial will follow in Cobbs Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe Griffith, Gary Hutchison, Dan Parker, Kyle Phillips, Matt Riley and Rick Yates.
Honorary will be current and retired staff of Lake Road Elementary School.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
JoAnn was born May 25, 1953, in Dyersburg, daughter of the late Robert Milton and Lorene (Kent) Davis. She married James “Jim” Brown December 31, 1971. He survives. JoAnn retired as a educational assistant in 2019 from Lake Road Elementary after 20 years of service. She enjoyed working in her flowers, being with her family and playing board games. JoAnn loved Halloween and always enjoyed giving candy to the children that would visit her house. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shantelle and Russ Gilliam of Martin; her son and daughter-in-law, Robby and Crystal Brown of Felton, Delaware; and eleven grandchildren, Elex Carter, William Brown, Blake Brown, Leah Beth Brown, Sumner Gilliam, Sydney Gilliam, Cooper Gilliam, Grayson Gilliam, Gabe Gilliam, Halle Cobb and Cristion Sinegar.
