Five first responders honored with saving life of woman during house fire
MARTIN, Tenn.-Five first responders were honored Monday afternoon in Martin.
Assistant Fire Chief Todd Prince, Lieutenant Mike Wenz, Patrolman Kerry Workman and dispatchers Kim Healy and Michelle Fischer were all honored for their quick responses to a house fire last week. Their actions saved 56-year-old Shelia McGuire’s life.
“Lots of relief, may have been a few tears shed, cause it was like, she’s ok, she’s alright, you know, cause the last thing I want to do is listen to, you know, her not make it out,” said Dispatcher Kim Healy.
The first responders were awarded with certificates and will be receiving medals in the near future for their service.
