UT Gardens and MCMG to host spring plant sale

JACKSON, Tenn. — One upcoming event offers a bounty for your garden.

The UT Gardens, Jackson, and Madison County Master Gardeners spring plant sale is this Friday and Saturday, May 3 and May 4.

The event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both days, rain or shine.

The Madison County Master Gardeners will host their sale inside the main building at the West Tennessee Ag-Research and Education Center.

UT Gardens of Jackson will host their sale outside.

The event offers more than 500 different kinds of annuals, succulents, trees, shrubs, vegetables, and more.

“Whether you’re an experienced gardener or you’re just getting started, this is a great opportunity to stock up on some local varieties of plants. Madison County Master Gardeners will be at both sales, offering suggestions and making those recommendations for good selections,” said Tate Cronin, Marketing and Communications Specialist for UTIA.

The sale is free to attend and open to the public.

For those arriving early, Master Gardeners will be selling refreshments like coffee and breakfast pastries.
