911 Camp teaches students about emergency personnel
HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — A 911 camp in Hardin County teaches students the importance of first responders.
The camp was held today, May 3, in two different sessions.
It involved emergency personnel coming together with students for demonstration and hands-on activities.
Michael Davis, Director of Schools in Hardin County shares more on the importance of meeting the social and emotional needs of students by showing them that they are cared for.
“I think our kids sometimes see these folks in action and it may be something that they might say be scared of but, when they meet them today, they see how friendly they are and how much they care about them and I think that’s very important too,” said Davis.
Davis also shares that this event may spark an interest in the students, encouraging them to become future first responders.
