Madison County school places first in Regional Talladega Competition
JACKSON, Tenn. — Four schools in Madison County competed in the Regional Talladega Competition.
The Talladega contest consists of a series of Greenpower races.
The students must show their strengths as a team to properly execute their tasks.
The students are given a kit a few months prior, which Rose Hill Teacher Whitney Hogg explains is a thorough building process.
“They’re looking at a thousand pieces and following step by step to put it together to get to this, and yeah it was a lot of trial and error, challenges, team work,” said Hogg.
The Rose Hill eighth grade students put together a fully electric power model and they placed first in the Talladega Regional Competition.
A big congratulations to the winners!
