Over $4,000 awarded to students by local sorority
JACKSON, Tenn. — Three high school students were awarded scholarships, and were recognized for their achievements.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated awarded three $1,500 scholarships to well deserving high school seniors.
“The minimum criteria is that they have a 3.0 or above, and we’ve had several applicants who are 4.0 students. But in addition to that they are actively in their communities. So, Hats off to the Jackson Madison County School System for preparing such outstanding scholars,” said Martha Robinson, Chair for Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority Incorporated.
Each student is acknowledged for their academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to their service in their communities.
